An earthquake in the middle of Virginia hit the east coast shortly before fourteen, which rumble and felt a few seconds in the Boston area. Several buildings in the area were evacuated while officials inspect, but there were no immediate reports of serious injuries.
Firefighters rushed to 111 Devonshire St. in the heart of the city into allegations that the building began to lean after the earthquake to investigate. But, said Deputy Fire Chief Richard DiBenedetto, according to the caretaker and the city inspectors, the building always looked that way.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake measured 5.8 on the Richter scale and was centered 83 miles southwest of Washington, DC

David Procopio, spokesman for the Massachusetts State Police, said the quake was felt in the Agency?s headquarters in Framingham. He said more than 40 calls received by dispatchers shortly after.
