Taylor Gang affiliate Quay Meanz is reportedly making headlines for his alleged involvement in the stabbing and robbing of a Pittsburgh Steelers player last weekend.

A judge took immediate action Tuesday (June 4) and had Meanz held on a pricey bond.

One of the men accused of stabbing and attempting to carjack a Steelers offensive lineman is a rapper who claims an affiliation with Wiz Khalifa, Pittsburgh police said. A judge Tuesday arraigned Dequay Means, 26, of Hazelwood on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, conspiracy, illegally possessing a firearm, escape and carrying a firearm without a license. He is being held at the Allegheny County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond. (Trib Live)

The victim also directly accused the hip-hop artist of using a weapon during the altercation.

Mike Adams, 23, told Pittsburgh police three men approached him while he walked to his truck near 17th and East Carson streets about 2:55 a.m. Saturday. One of the men, who Adams identified as Means in a photo array, pointed a gun at him and threatened to shoot him in the face if he didn't give the trio his truck, according to a criminal complaint. The attack reportedly left the NFL player wounded and in immediate need of medical attention.

Mr. Adams was taken to UPMC Mercy, where he underwent two surgeries to repair the stab wound, which was so deep it cut part of his colon. He was released today. Homicide detectives tied Mr. Paranay to the crime after they analyzed a phone that was dropped at the crime scene. It was not immediately clear how they arrived at Mr. Means as a suspect, but Mr. Adams identified both him and Mr. Paranay in photos, according to the complaint. (Post-Gazette)

Over the past few years, Meanz has continued to build a buzz with help from local rap pal Wiz Khalifa.

Meanz appeared on Taylor Gang's mixtape "Taylor Gang Over Everything 2", which was released earlier this year. Additionally, Quay released his own mixtape, "Speakers & Franklins" in 2011. (Steelers Depot)
