Christopher Meloni Being Pursued by True Blood (omg!)

Christopher Meloni may join the cast in the upcoming season of True Blood, an HBO rep told TVGuide.com.

If the show succeeds in wooing him, he'd play a "major role," according to TVLine.com, which first reported the news. The network rep declined to offer further details.

Christopher Meloni exits Law & Order: SVU

Meloni, 50, starred as Detective Elliot Stabler on Law & Order: SVU?for 12 seasons before making his exit last spring. Since then, he's been noticeably absent from the screen, though he'll be starring as a general in the feature Man of Steel, due out in 2013.
